Clearing Up the Confusion About the Sacred Names
One of the most frequent questions I get is, "Why didn't the Israelites Use the Name of Yahweh during New Testament times?" The answer is twofold: 1.) Yahweh took His Name out of our mouths because of our disobedience. 2.) The Pharisees and Sadducees took advantage of this situation by making it a crime to utter the Holy Name in public. Consequently, the name of Yahweh was not uttered publicly "for fear of the Jews." Nevertheless, the Name was known. How could it have been forbidden were it not known? Yahshua used it when not surrounded by the Pharisees and Sadducees.
